Spring Break - Smoky Mountains!

Spring Break in the Smoky Mountains was awesome! Kids had a great time! We started out at Elkmont - Smoky Mountains (about 5 miles away from Gatlinburg). We stayed there for 2 nights - 1st night was a little chilly! We didn't have power in the RV (battery wouldn't hold a charge - but no fear as we got home it has been replaced). Campsite was "primitive" (no hook-ups) but did have restrooms / washing stations (dishes) no showers! We camped / hiked / biked / fished and had some smores! We stayed at Elkmont for 2 nights then went on to Yogi Bear Campgrounds (about 15 miles on the other side of Gatlinburg). Very kid friendly! We played putt-putt, hiked up (straight up) a forest service road to an old cabin, played in a creek we camped right next to and went to Dollywood! The kids liked the creek best of all - we caught crawdads!

Ready To Roll - Off We Go!

Alright! We are up and rolling... Linda spent the last 2-3 days purchasing equipment for the R.V. and just finished a trip to wallie world (groceries) we are ready to roll! Pretty Cool! We have it loaded with all the necessities for the trip! Still trying to figure out how to load pictures to the site to share - hopefully we will have this mastered throughout the week and we can show some cool pictures of Gatlinburg, Tennessee!
