First Day Of School!

Heading Home!

Vacation is over... woke up this morning around 7:00a.m. or so, got the R.V. packed up ate some breakfast and we headed back to the house! Sorry vacation is over but good to get home and get into our own beds this evening! Camping on the Gulf was awesome! Kids, Linda and I agree it is somewhere we will go back to visit! Awesome to have Grammie and Papa go along with us! They were awesome (real troopers!).

Collin if you read this please tell Eric as sad as it might seem - I have to go back to work tomorrow (yes, work I know tough to understand!). Teacher work days start tomorrow (but I did get 1 last chance to mow the grass this evening (looks more and more like Pebble Beach each time I look at it!).

Kids get 1 last week off before reality sets in for them as well!

Sand Castles and Mermaids!

That's right these are authentic "Destin Beach Florida" sand castles (referred to by the Princess as "mounds")... if you will look closely the "mound" if the large image (very creative) and to the left of the picture was the "girly princess" castle (no longer standing).

Good Day At The Beach! After the beach we went to the pool, played some more shuffleboard, soft serve ice cream (Linda has been in heaven for the last 3 days getting soft serve ice cream for the last 3 days) and then came back to the R.V. to relax - Chicken Pasta for dinner (with grape Kook Aid for dinner - summertime and grape Kool Aid - not much better than that)!

Day 3 Destin Beach Florida!

Woke up and Linda and I went for a walk on the beach (me and the Little Princess!). Got back to the R.V. and made some pancakes (yes, I have been the chef the entire trip).

Speeding?

Pretty cool - the park has a "4 1/2" M.P.H. speed limit (radar gun)... Linda and I were walking past it this morning to go to the store and it had us walking at 3 M.P.H. Kids riding bikes past it at various speeds!

Yes, that is Grammie behind that hair (wind was blowing right as the picture was being taken). Water was pretty clean looking today... they had a red and purple flag out (give it a few more colors and we could have been at a parade in midtown!)... red is for the current (I believe) and the purple has to do with "marine pests" (according to the almighty knower of all - Princess Linda)!

Day 2 Destin Beach Florida!

Day 2 - Great Day! Picture above is of our R.V. site - great view of the condos in back of us - I know the condos like the view of the redneck paradise! Woke up this morning and made some breakfast burritos (ham, eggs, hashbrowns, cheese wrapped in a flour tortilla!)... went to the beach, made sand castles and played in the surf (about ankle deep)! Stayed at the beach until around 10:30a.m. or 11:00a.m. then off to the "activities center" to make some "beach crafts" pretty cool! Went to the pool and swam through a small rain shower... went back to the activities center and played shuffle board (pretty cool)! Back to the R.V. ate lunch then back to the pool for a good portion of the day! Campground had bar-b-que for lunch (free and good)! Went back to the activities center this evening and watched Underdog!
